Our liberal friends at the cable company are at it again. You may remember last year when Optimum cable in Raritan, New Jersey changed the name of Glenn Beck’s show in their show guide system. Now Time Warner of Northeast Ohio is getting into the act as well.

called a huge list of local Churches that had food banks and pantries, each time being turned away for the same reason as the county funded food bank. “We just can’t be associated with a TEA Party”. I heard this very thing the year before from every VFW post, and Boy Scout / Girl Scout troops the year before, but from Churches it stung twice as bad.

Emanuel Was Right - Never Let a Crisis Go to Waste!

Louisiana is the perfect reflection of the country at large. Here is a portion of our country that has seen first hand just how incompetent and useless big government actually is. The Gulf Oil Crisis call should be to reduce the size of the federal government and return control to state and local governments. After all, this was the way our nation was created to work. The lesson learned, from both Katrina and the Oil Spill, is that the larger and more complex a government is, the less capable it becomes of achieving any of its objectives. The progressive experiment of a big federal government is over, and the results are in. Continuing to expect the Federal Government to get better by being even bigger is as foolish as calling for stopping production of oil and massively increasing taxes on oil to solve this current disaster.

Odds are you are reading this on a computer of some type. The computer itself has evolved into what we know thanks to the contribution of thousands of minds each adding their own element to it. You need now to think of the government not so much as the computer, but rather that amazing little hard drive that sits inside. This hard drive has its limits and can only hold so much data, and take on so much responsibility.

TEA Party Movement After the First Winter

So many people are comparing the movement to that of the very revolution that formed our nation. I firmly believe if Benjamin Franklin could have attended a TEA Party last year, he would have noted the similarities to the attitudes held in 1774. So too would George Washington. It is Washington’s perspective now in the movement’s second year, which we truly need to consider.

The Obama Analogy Machine

Since President Barak H Obama’s ascension to the White House in 2009, a number of people, political pendants, and belt way spinsters have attempted to analogize his Presidency to that of former ones. Let's take a look at one from the left, one from the right, and my own analogy. Just a side note: I have found that more often the not the first statement or guess is closest to reality, and though the President has been compared to 6 or 7 other Presidents (at last count) by the left, I will stick to the first one used.

The Separation of Education and State

The separation of Church and State is a debate that has and will continue to rage on for years to come. While the coining of the phrase is nowhere to be found in the constitution, the concept has been ingrained in to our nation’s psyche. The concept is this - "Government has no place to tell or display in any form a system of beliefs the will be perceived as Government ordered, endorsed or supported."

Among some of the most ludicrous tax proposals of late is the idea of taxing soda, more specifically the non-diet type. Today, even the President alluded to a soda tax to help pay for a healthcare system that the majority of the public doesn’t even want. I find this rather interesting because, as I see it, Obama’s tax bill is also going to go way up. Why, you ask?

Come to think of it, I can’t remember seeing the same one twice in over 20 years! Dr. Shooter, now there was a great doctor! When I decided to start my own business back in 2002, and signed up for a personal health care plan and he was just a name on the PPO list. I could not have picked a better doctor. Taking Chance is an amazing story about events that are happening every day, with little or no fanfare. In April 2004, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Strobl, USMC, came across the name of 19-year-old Lance Corporal Chance Phelps, a young Marine who had been killed by hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Strobl, a Desert Storm veteran with 17 years of military service, requested that he be assigned for military escort duty to accompany Chance's remains to his family in Dubois, WY.

This is not a story about that guy, for all you know it might have been me.
The Seperation of Green and State

Just when you think you have heard it all, a member of the Obama administration went on record the other day suggesting another “green” policy to save the world.

US Energy Secretary Steven Chu made the following suggestion on May 27th with regards to conserving energy use: “Giving roads and roofs a paler color would have the same effect of removing every car in the world off the road for 11 years.”

Montana Put The Federal Government in It’s Place!

Montana has signed into power a revolutionary gun law. I mean REVOLUTIONARY. The State of Montana has defied the federal government and their gun laws. This will prompt a showdown between the federal government and the State of Montana . The federal government fears citizens owning guns. They try to curtail what types of guns they can own. The gun control laws all have one common goal - confiscation of privately owned firearms.

Top Ten Liberal Myths - The Creation of Green Jobs

Green Jobs: now there's a great peace of fiction. Like so many debunked urban legends the term has taken on a life of its own. You know what a "Green Job" is, right? In March, a number of organizations called into question how many Green Jobs a $100 Billion dollar government program would create, as reported in a “study” done by the Center for American Progress. This study got lots of press, while the questions asked later did not.
